About Elimatta Montessori
Elimatta means “Our Home” in Aboriginal language, symbolising a safe, welcoming place where children and families feel connected. We are a family-owned centre and we value strong partnerships with families, dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where children can grow with confidence, curiosity, and respect for community and culture.
The early years are a foundation for life. At Elimatta, we foster a culture of respect and belonging that supports every child to flourish socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
We follow Montessori principles, complemented by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF). In carefully prepared environments, children engage in purposeful, self-directed learning that nurtures independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of discovery. Our mission is to guide each child’s natural development and inspire curiosity, creativity, and compassion.
We proudly deliver government-approved Free Kinder through our Three-Year-Old and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Programs, giving every child access to high-quality early education and supporting their social, emotional, and intellectual growth during these vital years.
